Evaluation

To me, evaluation means how you are marked upon how you do well and the effort you put in. Evaluation  is very critical because that is how you perceive someone's actions and abilities. It is very important and should be taken seriously. If a person is smart and works really hard, that person should be given automatically an evaluation very close to 100%. In contrast, if a person has no knowledge and doesn't even try, that person will get a very low evaluation. On the other hand, a person who isn't that smart but at least shows a lot of effort should be given an acceptable mark. Sometimes, evaluations are taken for granted. People stop trying after they get a high evaluation because they were already given that mark. Their evaluation should be changed even though how smart they are because they don't give an effort anymore. People who aren't that smart but actually put a lot of effort deserve more evaluation because they try.

Roman R.A.F.T.

The Roman R.A.F.T. presentations were very amazing. The presentations were all about the Ancient Roman civilization. They talked about entertainment, traditions, military, food, mythology and Julius Caesar of Ancient Rome. The presentations were entertaining. There were various ways of presentations. There were game shows and the Prezi. The students did a good job in their presentations. The presentations fully explained most of the important events and things in Ancient Rome. In the game shows, we had to guess the missing word. If we got it right, we were given a prize. In the Prezi, every detail was explained. Wonderful pictures were added to enhance the presentation. All in all, I learned a lot from the presentations about Ancient Rome. I realized that Ancient Rome was a very important event in history. It changed and shaped the world a lot. It was very interesting to know that Ancient Rome was the best civilization in its time. They had the best military, and they always won. Last but not the least, Ancient Rome was a very powerful force that you can't imagine.

Roman PMI

Plus
-The United States did not form any type of formal colonies.
-There has not been any evidence that the United States has deployed any ruling consults in other sovereign lands.
- The Romans were known for their infrastructure including their roads as well as their engineering feats wih bridges and aqueducts.
- Rome realized that if they were to last as a world power, the Romans had to excel at both the art of winning wars as well as winning the cultural battle found in political circles.
- The Romans put down "roots" all over their occupied territories and left their cultural and architectural footprint on the world.

Minus
- The Americans in the United States are implementing the same tactics without fail, all the while not realizing the Roman "roots" of these tactics.
- The Romans assumed that cultural, economic and social differences could be bridged by simply implementing the "Roman" way.
- The United States was founded on rebellion against another empire, the British Empire.
- China is a socialist and communist country that is slowly turning its back on its soul and embracing its nemesis, capitalism.
- Americans would claim bragging rights on their own imperialism.

Interesting
- Military strength is the most obvious similarity.
- Based on history, the Romans understood that the world needed to practice imperialism, namely the art of winning wars and invading territories.
- The Internet began as a military tool, and arguably is one of the most superior inventions of our time, bringing whole nations together in mere nanoseconds.
- Rome's greatest conquest was the seduction of its peoples.
- The fall of the Roman Empire occurred primarily due to a lack of foresight.
